God doesn’t have a Plan B

I am in the middle of a situation that in the past would have been total fear, nerves and back up planning.

We have submitted an application that requires past records of performance. I picked up the documentation of that past performance today. I reviewed it and felt instantly sad. Honestly, my first fleshy thought was “This is horrible! There is no way an elite program with this kind of reputation will accept us.”

Wow! So I had my very brief moment of worry, but then I prayed. I gave it to God, fully!! I choose to trust God. He has not failed me. He has not quit answering prayers. The reality is that lately he has been showing me in very blunt, skillet over the head type answers that He is extremely capable and totally in control of everything. So He has been building my faith and now I’m a little bit embarrassed I had my moment of panic. It was short lived but ick. You remember when Moses struck the rock when God told him to speak to it? Moses had a past record of striking a rock, striking the Red Sea. His little moment of panic cost him the joy of seeing the promised land.

God IS good all the time. He is. He totally is. He is whether we acknowledge it or not. It is in my best interest (and yours) to get that through my head (and heart) sooner rather than later.

He is good when you are Bethany Hamilton and a shark bites your arm off and then you have an amazing platform to reach people. He is good when your husband gets a big promotion. He is good when you get fired and your new job is awesome even though it may take a long time to find it. He is good, when your best friend dies and goes to heaven. Just because we can’t see the end result or we are sad for a while or we didn’t plan it the way it happened  we like to think God isn’t in control or not good.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Now I sit in the palm of His hand and trust Him. I trust Him with acceptance or rejection. He has the best plan in this situation. I will trust that He knows what is best. He has been showing me He can and will do big things when I pray and seek Him when it is for His glory. I am seeking His face (His will)!

Are you trusting Jesus’ answer? Are you giving your fear to Him? Are you letting God handle it or are you making a Plan B?

God doesn’t have a Plan B.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
