July in the Garden

July is the time to fertilize those acid plants with chelated iron. You’ll know they are iron deficient if the young leaves are yellow with dark green veins.

Camelias (do not prune), Hydrangeas, Azaleas, Gardenias and blueberries are some of the acidic plants.

July is also the time to plant your fall vegetable garden in North Texas.
