Last few Days

Looking at the world in the last few days leads to disheartenment.    The attacks around the world on countries, cities and towns have escalated.  I cried watching  the attack in Dallas unfold.  I cried again when I saw so many innocent people in Nice brutally killed and wounded.  Both of these senseless attacks sent people fleeing for their lives.  While others fled into the gunfire to protect. So many lives lost.

The shortest verse in the Bible is John 11:35  Jesus wept.

Trouble is all around us, but we are not defeated.  Even when we don’t know what to do, we do not give up. We are persecuted but God does not leave us. We are hurt, we are not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8  We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair.

Psalms 37:8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!  Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.   Don’t become so angry and upset you want to do evil.

God has not forgotten us.  We may feel that relief will never come, but take courage, it will. This is our world created by God.  Pray. Pray for God’s protection from people who are lost to the meaning of love for human life.  Pray. Pray for all these people who do not know Christ.  Pray. Pray for all who risk their lives daily to protect our safety.  Pray. Pray for all world leaders that Godly decisions are made to defeat these wrongs.  Pray. Pray for peace & comfort,  for all that have lost loved ones in these senseless attacks.  Then do something for someone in need.  Show all we are not defeated, we will protect and care for one another.  This is our world and God is here and can not be defeated.
